Amaretti FALCONE morbidi italiani Classici, 170 g carton, presented as extra soffici e gustosi, with no palm oil, made with selected ingredients and bearing a "prodotto in Italia dal 1997" stamp. The side of the carton describes the biscuit in Italian: a delicate, crumbly crust and a soft centre in which the bitter, lingering note of apricot kernel blends with the sweetness of toasted almonds — and the brand suggests serving it with a good espresso or a dessert wine. That bitter note is the heart of the product and the origin of its name: amaretto means "slightly bitter", and without it an Amaretti is just a macaroon.
